The list was just an estimated time no one really knows not even RM or CWU until its rolled out.

How can RM not know until it’s rolled out

The times given were the maximum over factoring the whole process so if you've been given a time of 4.30 finish the cwu were saying it will probably be earlier.

I think the discussions are to get rid of DPRs and go back to 'once over the ground'.

This makes the most sense. One postie for one area taking everything. Duties will need to be made smaller of course to accommodate…

Exactly no cover for them a s**t show some are un helpful and no one tells them too take more but the walking postie has too cover them.No one helping the loops of letters left.

Over ten years ago we had bikes so parcel drivers.We had the right balance before this year doing large and smaller lapsing revision now all laspe work added too frames no help at xmas not seen a causal. Lots of xmas cards for the new year even without really bad weather or covid.

There are so many rumours right now it is ridiculous. Was told today by a manager that they don’t expect the network to be ready for the later starts in March. Also our latest revision has been canceled.

I agree, it's the most economical way as long as mail and d2ds exist alongside parcels, would also be quite a nice relief to have a duty that can be completed comfortably as well but I guess there's not much chance of that happening.

I'm pretty sure I heard the CWU and RM are looking to put together a joint statement. I think reading between the lines the new CEO likes the 'once over the ground approach' and obviously the QoS is non existent.
The only trouble is still the major staffing crisis and I can only say from a local perspective but we've been on our arse for the last 12 months and can't get anybody to join let alone stay.

It means the postie delivers everything, none of this parcel hub bollocks or even dpr, both ideas that reared their ugly heads recently when rm decided to pretend they were a parcel company.

They're not practical anymore with the amount of parcels, if they came back where we used to have maybe 2 parcel/bulk/bag drivers you would need alot more because of the number of parcels and larger packets. And anyone thinking van shars will go are deluded, they'd need so many more vans and have to pay for the running of them. They are talking of taking vans out in our office and pairing up some of the few singleton rounds there are at the minute
