I think RM should all move our start times earlier. Its obvious to me that people are getting out of bed and checking the internet before they go to work.

A return to starting and finishing a duty before noon is the change I'm desperately hanging on for. Plenty of stuff has come back around - why not that? They axed Sunday working when I started and now it's back. Boxes used to be emptied on foot, then it went to dedicated collections, then it came back to deliveries. And let's not forget when 2020 went retro by bringing back the pouch box.

Seems highly convenient that RM say that we will all have to start and finish later because they want to stop flights/reduce CO2 emissions b*llocks. Why does it matter when management are standing down mail and telling us to prioritise the parcels over the mail everyday as standard?

Sequenced trays make about 5min difference in prep time for someone who's prepped a frame for more than a fortnight.

The mail we deliver might be declining but the walks are turning into marathons and RM keep bumping up the price of postage. I don't think we will ever reach a point where mail is obsolete. If there are less vans being used just for delivery drivers to deliver parcels shoe box size and above, it might actually be more cost effective and efficient to go back to the way things way?? It's certainly more manageable.

Referring back to the first post in relation to the seasonal variations start time, with hindsight, this week should really have been 39 hours, not 37. Only since yesterday was there a marked difference in the parcels and letters that came into our delivery office and we were still playing catch up with the stuff that wasn't delivered.
