The greedy will come in 24 minutes early next week. The wise will just say no. Its their business to fail.

Make sure everyone knows standard hours return on the week beginning the 18th because I guarantee you management are counting on some people being unaware.

Yes we have too. I don’t mind an extra few more minutes of indoor work paid to be honest. If it helps us maintain hitting our bonus again next week, all the better, and will make a nice little chunk of change. Better than the fools still starting early every day for free.

If I am it isn’t intentional. I think it is the £75 week for the bonus next week. If I work an extra 24 minutes in the morning, I make that about 125 minutes overtime for the week on top of the £75 so about £100 on top. Easy money. That ultimately is what I go to work for.

Just brilliant 😂 and you are right we only work for money it’s not a vocation after all.

On a serious note the system in place for the £500 bonus is without doubt the most biased system in place on many counts, if you work in a small office where potentially you can all pull together to do what’s needed. But larger DO really can’t cope as it’s harder to galvanise a work force.
Then put in to the mix if you had a revision most of our walks where cutting off before Christmas so it was unlikely for us to achieve it.
But that said good luck to the ones that can manage to achieve the targets I’m sure you’re revisions next year will be interesting.

No office, MC or DO was ever going to get all of that. £250 of it depends on every last MC and DO clearing, something which will never happen. The the local £250 some DOs have got a chance of getting it but Mcs will get f**k all as for us to get it, all the DOs in the area that we cover also have to clear, something else which will never happen.

I was never expecting the £500 but the £250 is pretty much a done deal so I am happy with that. To be fair, given the OT I have totted up over the last few weeks, it will likely be that figure anyway.

It has nothing to do with office size either. We have over 100 duties. Some offices are just better run and managed than others. I’ve said it before. Why RM don’t look to the better performing offices (we are top 10 in the country) and apply their methods in general is beyond me.

My office is a decent office which in general performs well and is surrounded by some of the worst performing offices in the country. As you say it must be the way they are run.

I missed it  but apparently my manager had told everyone that he would pay it if people wanted to keep coming in 24min early next week.
Then yesterday told us all to forget it because he can't afford it.

Meanwhile his boss says the reason our revision is failing so badly is because we don't do enough OT at the end of the day.... I guess they'd be happy to pay for that.

For as long as management are spouting such contradictions and doing such hard and frequent I Turns, the only OT I'll do is the few accidental minutes here and there caused by slight overestimates on what I can achieve.

Because your office is one of the few that hasn't been stripped and taken apart yet. Our office used to be one of the best performing offices in the region but senior managers took out far too many duties in the revision. We are now one of the worse performing offices in the region.

Who is to blame....staff or senior management?? :hmmmm

I'm not greedy and would rather have 300 less calls on my frame than a quick buck of £250 which will barely cover a big Xmas food shop and a night on the tiles.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I’m not sure why they are mutually exclusive. You can have less calls and the bonus. If anything, having achievable deliveries will allow you to hit the figure needed for said £250.
