Seasonal hours fiasco

Today we were called together with the boss pleading with us to carry on coming in early on the week of the 18th and claim the 2 hours ,you couldn't make it up seasonal hours hasn't worked and will never work unless they make us self employed,needless to say the majority of opinions was not a chance,seasonal hours and an extra 24 minutes has had no impact on the amount of work getting done,the guys at the top have f----d up big time on this.

I forgot about that, "yeah no leave back and no compliance from me " And surly if you have leave in the 35 hour week they should only take 35 hours off your leave but pay us for 37 hours.

Why have they done it like that for the summer period and not just 24 minutes at the front like the winter period?

That’s in the deal yes, but we are not doing this at our place. FT’s are starting 24 mins later, PT’s 10 mins later. All finishing at the same time.

If the seasonal variations adds up to 30 hours owed wouldn't it just be better to give us an additional week off in the summer instead?

I would rather work 37 hours instead of 35 in the summer if that's the case. At least we would have more time to complete our duties and make sure all the mail that we have on a 6 day USO is delivered....

I cant even complete my duty on a 39 hr week ,i leave at least an hours work and they are increasing it again after xmas

done a fair whack today, booked over 3 1/2 half hours over. That was with one frame of mail untouched. lots of fun delivering in the dark and freezing cold, quite the reminder whats to come.
