Special Leave

Post by PeterCapaldi »

My wife has to have a minor operation next week and this morning my line manager has told me that special leave for this no longer exists, it’s unpaid leave now. Does anybody know if this correct or can point me in the direction of any information for this I’d be extremely grateful

I’m sure special leave A still exists, like a lot of things these days it will be at discretion of management.
They want us to clear mountains of post daily, but won’t help out with things like this.

Sad times 🥲

Special leave still exist.

You have to complete a special leave form, which accounts for the absence.

Unpaid leave requires the completion of said form because you have to authorise the deduction of pay.

The policy is attached.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
