Just a quick question,if you are on leave do you get days back in lieu for Christmas Day and Boxing Day?

No because they shouldn't have been deducted from the leave that you used for your time off.

Eg. You work a 35 hour week, 5 days a week. If you booked a week with a bank holiday in you would only be deducted 28 hours leave for the full week.

Unless they messed it up. This is Royal Mail we're talking about...

You would b deducted 21 hours from your leave allocation. 3 days leave, 2x bank holiday 1x rest day, would b your 6 days off…

Whatever your total number of hours for Wed-Fri (or Wed-Sat) that you'd normally work is what will be deducted from your leave allocation

Think it depends how it falls, we've got leave slots this year for that week but normally only the week after the one with Xmas day in it would be available.

Every office should have had leave slots for that week, probably all now full in just about every office

And how does it work if your rest days are Monday and Tuesday, which this year are Christmas Day and Boxing Day? Do you get other days off in lieu?

Bank holiday on a rest day gets u a day in lieu or days overtime depending on your manager
