Joined royal mail a few months ago and first post here!
I got my payslip through for October and it looks very short. I can't see anywhere what dates are covered in the October pay I thought it was 25th Sept - 27th October. I asked manager at my depot he said he would find out but still hasnt.
I get paid monthly as well.
Can anyone help me? Is there anyway to find the range of dates for each of the rest of the pays this year as well?

So the standard pay you receive is for the whole month. For October’s payday, paid on 31 Oct, you will have been paid from 1-31 October (ie no “arrears” of basic pay).
What may be paid in arrears is any overtime worked during October — the cut-off for overtime is somewhere in the middle of the month, and any October overtime performed after the cut-off date gets paid in November.
Can’t help you there I’m been in hell for 23 years so get paid weekly.
Only tip I give you new starters keep a record of any overtime you do because I’ll guarantee you 100% your overtime will always be wrong.

Thank you so much for your answer! I couldn't get an answer if anyone and no idea where to find it. That makes sense.
I am actually enjoying the job mostly, just can't get an answers for anything so can be frustrating. Hope you are enjoying it as well :)

I have been keeping a note of all my hours. Had a feeling after the first couple of weeks I would need to.
new starters = monthly pay, unpaid breaks, flat rate Sundays and no delivery supplement. well done Ward and Fury. you's didn't want a 2 tier workforce....well, you've got one. and you took us out on strike for it as well.

Hear hear, I remember them jokers banging the drum regards a two tier workforce loudly and just look at it now
Us old school contracts get paid weekly.
Our contracted hours are paid on the Friday even though we havent worked the fri & sat yet. This pay also includes any overtime for the PREVIOUS week (mon - sat). The cut-off to enter any ot is the Monday (i think).
We are paid on Fri & any o/t for the previous week must be entered by mon.
Keep a daily record of overtime you do.

This all day long,we have guys on weekly pay that are short in their o.t every other week note every minute you do down.
Cut of date for overtime is 3rd Sunday of the month.
If your on a 30hr contract you get paid the same basic every month 30hrs x 52 weeks ÷ 12 monthly payments = 130hrs a month. Then any overtime on top.
any overtime worked over 40hrs worked in a single week is paid at time and a quarter.
