For more internal jobs, use IRIS on the RoyalMail Intranet, Just ask a manager to use a pc.

Given the decade-long hiatus in this thread, one can't help but wonder how transfer regulations have evolved.

I don't think they have, is it just me or does anyone else find it hard to grasp that a national company where most of the jobs are basically the same doesn't have some sort of really simple transfer process, where you can easily view opportunities and apply online, rather than the best advice of calling in to an office where you might want to move to and see if the manager can be arsed to help you.

I transferred using Successfactors.
The process was exactly as you have described above.

Exactly as it should be, I didn't, I transferred by going to see the manager where I wanted to transfer to several times, then when my existing office dragged their feet I had to ask the area CWU guy to try and put some pressure on for them to get it sorted as did the accepting manager at the new do, at the time the vacancy wasn't on success factors.

Speaking of success factors, having just checked there are currently no post person jobs whatsoever advertised although I suspect there's rather a few vacancies around the country.
