I do wish you would stop arguing with Lou, he will never admit to anything other than "I am right" and "You lot are all wrong".
Sometimes what he says can ring true, but the majority are all about what he is peddling as the truth.
And when he runs out of ideas it comes down to bullying, harassment and stalking him as his default mode.
Mind you there's one in my office the same, a thin-skinned MF who runs to the manager at the slightest umbrage.
Best to ignore him then maybe he will go away. But i doubt it!

Personally, I don't like to have foes on this forum as we all work for the same company and have different opinions. Don't like the continuous trolling that Lou resorts to though and a little bit of humility goes a long way imho. Some of the comments made in the last week....

Do we need to do this over and over again? You lost and comprehensively. Get over it and move on or find another job if you can’t. Do us all a favour.

It is a shame you ignored the comments received by me in the same timeframe, but that is OK. As I said before, this forum has no real moderation, so I feel like my comments quoted are justified and relatively measured in comparison and I totally stand by them.

You have also not seen the PMs sent my way, either abusing me or trying to’dox’ me but again that is all good. As scotchy says, you won’t chase me off this forum, as has been done in the past to other contributors, as apparently it is OK to bully people away who have differing opinions. If there is no protection from such abuse, then yeah, expect increasingly acerbic responses in kind.

Not sure about that at the moment, most of the advertisements near my area are 12pm-7pm and due to 'Operational Demand' must work both Saturday and Sunday! Erm....No thanks. That 'due to operational demand' can be wheeled out by them at any time to suit their workload.

I work every Saturday and Sunday, on a Wednesday to Sunday shift pattern and it suits me just fine. Appreciate it doesn’t suit everyone though.

Seems they are lining up people on new contracts to work every weekend so when they inevitably drop weekend letters they will have a big enough weekend workforce.

Only getting four weekends off a year will really be off putting for many especially if you are working till 7pm. The newer contract's are also paying less than the competition.

It is just after 6am with ‘seasonal variation’, yes. And yes, we clear the office every day. It is probably why I enjoy the job and don’t spend my life whining about it on here. If I worked in a shitty office I would likely have a similar attitude to most on these forums. You can only speak from your own experience. Do I pretend every office is like mine? No I do not, and I expect it is far from the norm, but in my experience of this job, the serial moaners are always the loudest. People content are rarely heard from, or if they are, they are hounded off forums like these, as has happened a few times.

Rest days can be changed as needed, so def not every Saturday and Sunday, just the majority of them. And I finish at 4.30 pm on both Sat and Sun anyway, so not the end of the world for me and my personal circumstances.

Having said that, in the longer term I would like a Saturday off every, say, six weeks, and I am sure management will accommodate that when the conversation arises as they are keen to retain productive employees and have already been very accommodating.

Please do tell us which competitor is paying more than £14.60 per hour/£18.25 per hour overtime. Is it Amazon? DX? Is it DPD? Tesco? Argos? And are they offering a guaranteed 40 hours each week? Do they offer the perks RM offer, like salary sacrifice car leasing, a decent enough pension, death in service benefit, etc etc? Perhaps most importantly, is the workload expectation on par with the Royal Mail, ie, are you out on delivery for a mere four or so hours?

Failing to perform its function in every single UK postcode? Absolute fabricated cobblers. I would say my experience is more the norm, but all the serial whiners and post-people living in the past are more vocal on here.

And yet last week you said otherwise? This was in relation to mail not being delivered in the UK.
