Re: Ring doorbells
Video Doorbells. Last years fad.
You press one and you can guarantee:
-no battery left
-no connection/sound
-no answer
Bargain at £159. Ffs.
I thought this would make my job easier when I first heard about them.
Lot of s**t.

Re: Ring doorbells
Two things about this video 1. This doesn't show the postman from the time he first came through the gate. As far as I'm concerned he could of walked up the path and rung the bell or knocked the door 2-3 minutes before, this person is only showing from where she wants to. And 2. I'm sure there's some kind of law where you shouldn't be filming beyond the boundaries of your land. Stand to be corrected on this.

Re: Ring doorbells
So even if the postie had knocked they weren't in anyway as they state they had to rush home from work. Although they could have tried a neighbour or carded it. Amazon in my area do exactly the same had a few parcels recently just left on doorstep in the pouring rain

Have a chat with your customers, they will tell you where they like their stuff left.Nobody brings stuff back in my office bar specials and tracked signed fors. If you show any care at all, ie leaving a note telling them where you left it, you are doing better than the competition, who frankly dump everything in plain sight. RM want it delivered, the enclosed porch option on the PDA is a nod to doorstepping.

Can you explain to all the "new starts" covering 18,000+ calls, which delivery points are the specific "customers" to chat to please?Edward Hunter wrote: ↑16 Nov 2023, 20:15Have a chat with your customers, they will tell you where they like their stuff left.Nobody brings stuff back in my office bar specials and tracked signed fors. Give it a look it's as unintentionally funny as f**k.
Definitely a man with a fork in a world of soup.

Re: Ring doorbells
I have to be honest, I’d be pissed if my postie rapped on my door with a scanner instead of pushing the doorbell. Not enough to post it on twitter but still. Why?

I thought I was an angry man but this guy takes it to new limits. You'd have thought there might have been the odd "Thanks for Delivering my order promptly" type post but On No it's just moan, moan, moan! Funny as Fudge.

Re: Ring doorbells
Firstly around 50% of door bells don't work and, secondly, it's not always easy to spot a door bell if you're not familiar with the duty. I've got to the point now I always do both unless I know for certain that the door bell works.
