"Seasonal variation would be applied in the Delivery operation over 3 periods during the full-year cycle, as outlined below: -
Week 39 to Week 8 at 37 hours (Mid Period - approximately half the year)
Week 9 to Week 23 at 35 hours (summer period – lower workload)
Week 24 to Week 38 at 39 hours (autumn period – higher than average workload over our peak season)"

Week 1 is first week of the financial year I think.

Though this has gifted them sweet FA in my opinion so I can see them binning it and paying us off with the money set aside for the totally unachievable Christmas bonus/targets.

I would have expected the 8th January to be the first day of staff going back to their regular contracted hours, to take into account boxing day sales and people spending gift cards/vouchers. People swapping clothes that don't fit for ones that do, etc

By my calculation week 38 ends Sunday 24th December (if week 1 started Mon 3rd April)

Walks are still falling continuously with the seasonal variation extra time. Walks will fail next summer when there is less hours because they did this summer. Seasonal variation is obviously a great success.

These seasonal hours have just not worked at all,some numpty at the top having no clue about deliveries, these seasonal hours are not innovative at all,im doing less work than i have ever done,someone needs sacking theses seasonal hours are going to cost them millions more.

this farce ends on SUNDAY 17TH DEC , so come monday the 18th i will be back to my normal start time and 37 hour week , oh and roll on summer 35 hours to get my time back regardless what doesnt get delivered that will go back ,remember they OWE you 30 HOURS .

I’m thinking we will not be getting any time back from RM. Basically we have just been working unpaid overtime for them.

It's unworkable... there are busy peaks in so called quieter periods... for example the week following any bank holiday is busy esp. The Easter week yet seasonal variation will be reduced at this time. There's also other religious events in the calendar at other times of the year which increase the volumes that go through the network.
