I had a "leave in shed" PDA request yesterday. Not knowing the layout of the detached house, I walked to the wrong side and made eye contact with the resident through the window. I then waited by the door, she came towards the door and then disappeared. Never to be seen again. I waited a while before giving up and put the parcel in the shed.

Today at another property I found a note saying to leave the parcel in their cupboard. I did and the owner came out with the old "I'm in!" routine.

You try and do what you think the customer wants and inevitably you look like you are cutting corners or being a pratt.
I'm turning purple!

Mark it on pda as safe place not safe or unavailable. Don’t leave yourself open to complaints or a missing parcel. Protect yourself no one else will
I get that, but If the customer ticks a box to accept responsibility how can they complain?
If it's stolen, or taken by the bin men, can you honestly see the customer not complaining?
I can definitely see them complaining, however if they have ticked the box to say they accept responsibility then they don't have a leg to stand on? I mean what's the point in giving the recipient an option to leave it wherever and accept responsibility if they can still complain?
Still think it would be questioned why we've left a parcel in a bin when we're clearly told not to do it. They'll probably blame us anyway by suggesting that we didn't leave a card, so they didn't realise it had been left in the bin!

Any complaint goes on record for some reason, I had one for a parcel that was not even delivered by me or RM, it was a different courier! but the complaint still stands on the round data :arrrghhh

We're getting complaints lodged against us in the Performance App because walks have been taken out on paper and the delivery points have been tacked onto our walk sequence. It's someone else's lapsing at the moment.
The machine stops.
