Ballot papers out.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I voted Yes to reject but the question itself is an odd one - how many will vote No thinking they are rejecting the offer when in fact they will be accepting it.
The Union could have made the question easier in my opinion, or at least not as liable for confusion.
A simple question of:
Do you accept Royal Mails position on Pension reform.
No and Yes -
no confusion, no chance of it being messed up because someone's in a rush.

Do I sense collusion between RM and the CWU top brass ? We all suspect that the pension reform was in fact agreed as a condition of agreeing the Pay & Modernisation deal. The wording on this ballot paper seems designed to get people to vote the 'wrong' way, so that the CWU can then say 'we secured a deal the membership approve of'24601 wrote:You've got to vote "YES" to vote "NO"

How many times have you to be told - the deal was done last year.
What an absolute waste of money "Do you agree to reject Royal Mails Proposal"?
Yep that's really sticking it to em right enough

Oh and for those who bother to vote - and I would imagine it will be neglible - there is nothing to be done. All this tub thumping has been nothing but a charade for the masses. Voting NO or YES isn't going to change the outcome one jot.

ballot papers
The ballot papers were not printed in a great way at all but if your rep is anything he will get the message across and make sure people don't get it wrong.
I went round to individuals behind the screws back and also spread the word------it dosen't take long to get around an office as does anything else!!!!
And no I haven't got time to do it but I did a bit of ducking and diving.

Luckily my rep was handing out the ballot papers one at a time. He explained to every single person the union position and that they recommended voting 'Yes' to reject the proposals. I didn't think it was that complicated, but then again some people just vote 'No' to everything without thinking. Is that a pop at union militants, in a way it is I suppose, I'm as militant as the next man, but I do not follow blindly and if the last IA taught me anything it was check the small print for goodness sake.
