Anyone know the expected parcel per hour delivery rate?

Royal Mail PDA's always come up with the message that tracks are only to be delivered with a picture of the customer door open behind them. If they want to change it to leave it in the pissing rain for the world to see, i'll happily follow suit

The PDA already has that option under the Safeplace button!!

I don't try neighbours at all anymore. Been abused, threatened, intimidated too many times. And is it really fair to potentially wake someone up who works nights, to take Mrs Goggins the shopping addicts grotty knock off used Crocks from fleabay, whe she orders tracked items every day knowing she's going to be out and doesn't bother to make any arrangement to leave her items, feel ashamed when that happens.

I’m similar (I got told off by a few when I mentioned this last time, including by the forum messiah). If I know the neighbour is in and know they get on, I’ll try. Unfortunately I rarely cover the same round more than once without a good 2 or 3 weeks between rounds. I frequently forget about which houses have dogs - it’s easy to forget these things when you cover 47 rounds. The regular postman knows not to try # 10 because he’s a grumpy bugger, has a dangerous dog and is in dispute.....I don’t. Add in the parcel junkies who will not get a safe place and it’s far easier, safer and quicker to card them. I had someone who had a perfect safe place, they get loads of parcels...they got rid of it last week ‘oh the side of the container had split’ so I asked what they want me to do about their parcels to which they said ‘can you try and get here before 10am and we’ll try and be in.’ No no and no.

Its hard to understand why we don't have a database of safe places & helpful neighbours, at present only the duty holder knows that information even though it seems fairly easy to store and then reproduce when you scan an item on the door step.

Twice this week when I've asked the duty holder where he leaves parcels for certain customers he's said in the unlocked garage, how's anybody supposed to know a garage is unlocked without being told?
