Nottingham Mail Centre

Post by Lockardian »

From today’s service update:
The Mail Centres below reported not all mail was processed or despatched to schedule over the last 24-hours. As a result, some mail may be delivered later than planned.

Peterborough Mail Centre: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday for delivery today in the DE and NG postcode areas.
Nottingham Mail Centre has dealt with DE and NG postcodes for some years, taking on DE when Derby closed. Is the above an error, or has some of Nottingham’s work gone to Peterborough. Seems rather distant for some of the DE areas, but nothing would surprise me these days!

Yes, I can understand that for the outward sort. But surely an inward sort would normally only take place at the local feeder MC (except for the sorting now done at the hubs and this is still delivered via the local MC).
