No one cares anymore,walks are so long and unachievable now posties have just give up on that extra mile bulls--t its more like an extra 10 ,in my office now most posties do the bare minimum and are all about going home not too tired its self preservation look after your own body ,health and mental well being.

Think that's the attitude in our office. We had revisions which messed up most of the duties and most posties are now just cutting off everyday leaving loops of mail on frames. When there's 2 or 3 days worth, staff from other sections are brought in to try and mop up until it builds up again. It's all done to cut costs and boost the profits of Royal Mail who ironically are saying that they are looking to improve quality of service.

You worry too much ,a postie is already at the bottom of the pile ,poor wage jobs like ours is 2 a penny,as for linos they will never have a job as well paid ,they are failed postmen with no qualifications,so i'll carry on calling them out,i already tell all my customers how s--t we are but then again they already know lol,the job and company are finished just another s--t courier the quicker you get use to it the better.

Turning a blind eye to what Royal Mail are currently doing is wrong. They might have got away with failing the mail during covid (when we made record profits) and through industrial action; but now it is different. There is no reason why the company should continue to de-prioritise letters and if the public are continually missing hospital appointments and bank cards, do you think that they will continue to use Royal Mail in the future? Royal Mail are still paying lip service to improving the quality of service but losing any business like this spells disaster for thousands of jobs - jobs that a trade union is supposed to protect.

We all know that letters are in decline but that's not a valid excuse for RM to keep failing mail when they still receive shed loads of revenue and our jobs are dependant on it. This my performance app and everything else is just a diversion and if anything we should be striving to improve the letters business as it's our only unique selling point. And I really don't know how many times I have to explain the financial position of the company. The company have made huge profits through 'rightsizing' the business and will make even more in future with our reduced terms and cons.
