Failing letters most days.

Post by Dingo99 »

Good grief, I am in a small DO of 8 duties (was 9) and bloody hell all my colleagues were talking about working to time and it's only me doing it, well I do the best I can and when I can't fit it all in one trolley then I leave mail in the frames. As I am the only one finishing on time most days (of course if it's a quiet Tues for e.g, sometimes people will get back in time) I have painted a target on my back, so sick of the constant battles with DOMS (or COMS or whatever they are now), trying to explain I have insufficient time for the workload. Of course they made by duty bigger as with everyone elses, but we are still lapsing (have been nearly everyday for weeks on end), and my lapsing takes over an hour sometimes (with the lapsing plan I only lose one road which takes about 20 mins on a good day). Absolutely had enough of it, falling asleep in afternoon a lot of the time and it's not even Christmas Pressure yet! The only good thing is that collectively we have told management that we are going to refuse to lapsing next week until after Christmas is over I guess. Just sick of it all, been in the game since 2009 and the job has gone to the dogs, I don't like not completing but I just can't be arsed with overtime anymore just demoralising when I am the only one digging my heels in and saying no! Anyway, if anyone reads this, sorry rant over lol, just letting off some steam and will probably go job hunting again soon!,

Honestly feel you my dude with all of this especially with the being that wiped out you are sleeping in on the afternoons after work and feeling like you are the only one that's seemingly standing your ground and doing the job by the book. It's insane that you guys are lapsing walks when union was adamant that these changes would stop the need for lapsing. All a load of bollocks.

Come in on time
Just do it by the book
Take your 40 min break
Go home on time
Smile and wave at the manager on the way out

With this new app, even the most stringent hard working postman & women’s jobs not safe,I scan up to 600 items a week, these newly promoted wanna be managers will be encouraged to find small mistakes & conduct code you,if face don’t fit you’re out of job 💯😔🥲
