Was that agreement really from 02? In which case I truly think it needs to be revisited under the terms of the BT 2010 Agreement and the larger delivery models which create frames with double slots more often than not. Couple that with the increase in D2D and the time taken is surely greater.

I agree.
Larger frames, double slots, sequenced mail, the mail profile itself have all changed the the way we prep mail.
The agreement needs looked at but after recent agreements maybe we should let sleeping dogs lie DV.
The last thing we need is a Performance Standards "deal of the century".
100 letters per minute....blindfolded? :nervous

if you were doing 20 21 22 a minute, no dom should be telling you, that you are not prepping to the standard, 9 10 a minute, different, but they have to coach you up to the agreed standard, it cannot be punitive.

3 cheers for the cwu for agreeing to something that is an impossible workload, let them come out and time you and do the job as the book says and if youve got nothing to hide dont worry about it. then its a managers job to help you to improve , dont be bullied into running roun etc.

Why can`t "management" see that they are blatantly wrong?

We were given sheets of paper telling us what time we should be leaving the office.

One colleague, on a Tuesday, is supposed to be leaving the office before the IPS is finished and at least 20 minutes before the last lorry arrives with the rest of our mail!

Will they have the stones to actually go at that time?

Performance. A blatantly dishonest, mean-spirited, snide, management tool. That's all.

Unfortunately, NO. Our union rep doesn`t seem to be interested in flagging up these type of issues. But I wish they would bring it up at a WTL just to hear "management" justify it.

What we need is some type of performance app so the managers can measure where you are going wrong 😑

Wonder what happened to Halfull 🤔

We had workers at our delivery office that cant do IPS.
since they have started all they do is throw PT walks mailsort off
Its the Old guard that do the IPS which is shrinking in numbers every month.
Also how do you work out performance issues on delivery, how can they chech you have delivered something properly , knocked on the door wrote a docket out etc. and not just scanned it and thrown it over a gate?
We have the office favourites ghosting , running round on OT making loads of mistakes, doorstepping, delivering to wrong roads, nothing gets done because he clears the tracked every day.
If ever you got pulled for a performance issue , tell them you are doing it how you told me to do it. if you got sacked for it you could take them to a tribunal
Glad I out of it.
