In our office they've banned cutting off all mail you take out has to be delivered. Been happening for months now. There's been a few instances where people have been forced to take out more than they wanted after threats and had to do overtime to clear.

If I'm prepping a double and am on my own, the manager tells me not to put any mail in the side I'm not prepping then wheels the crates off on a york before I go out, the next morning the crates are back on the frame. Got called on my rest day last week by manager demanding to know why I wasn't there, when I pointed out that it was my day off he said "oh god why are you on my sheet then?"

Correct, I know it’s difficult for those who don’t like confrontation. But you have to stand your ground. If it’s easier, not that we should have to, just throw in a while lie - you have to collect the kids or you’re caring for an unwell relative.
In my 10 years of working for RM, spread across 4 DOs for (counts....) 30+ managers, not once have I ever been forced or felt pressured to do OT. And I’m one of those who hates arguing, but I just choose my words carefully ‘I won’t be able to complete today and can’t work over, what do you want me to do?’
If they were to start talking about performance issues or conduct, I’d simply get out my notepad, start jotting down what they are saying and then slap in a grievance.
I keep saying it - educate yourselves and be smart.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
