The Isle of Islay is currently seeking a postperson in its largest town of Port Ellen. The full-time position would involve 37 hours of work per week, across five days between 9.30am and 5.30pm.
Based at the Port Ellen Delivery Office, the job would allow the successful applicant to immerse themselves in Islay's community while also taking in its spectacular scenery every day.
The position, advertised by Royal Mail, would involve delivering mail to the local community both on foot and in a vehicle. It would involve walking for long periods and working outside in any weather, and all applicants must have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
According to job site HiJobs, applicants should also be "upbeat, independent and self-motivated", as well as "organised, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service".
As well as pay that is "10 per cent above the market average", with an hourly rate of £12.29 per hour, the successful applicant will also receive an area allowance of £90.01 per month.
Additionally, the position comes with over 22 days of holiday per year and "various discounts including high street vouchers, travel and attraction discounts".
