weve lost 16 staff in the last few months , oh and there was another one who gave his notice in on friday , deliverys failing ever, and its looking like the cwu are hiding away from it all .

I suspect quite a few people are going to go once the bribe is paid at the end of September.
In the meantime my heart bleeds for him. I’m just hoping that he can get by on his £140,000 a year salary or whatever he gets paid , whilst we work longer hours and struggle with the sheer physicality of the job , without the fallback/ safety net of occupational sick pay. If the jobs market is truly a market, then the people have voted with their feet. If RM has a crisis of recruitment and retention then it's one of their own making and if the responsible persons had any honour they'd be composing their death poems in preparation for Christmas.

A fair few were 20 plus years but not retirement age.

We also recently had 16 new starters and 13 of them turned it down after seeing the contract and the remaining 3 quit on the induction.

There are jobs out there and ours has gone to absolute pot.

Royal Mail thinking these new contracts will attract people and they’re having the opposite effect.

Quite a few have left, one done 24 years he later got another job, some only came in and did a few weeks and left, it's not the job it used to be.

One thing I couldn't help thinking is, if it's not broken don't try to fix it, before all these changes came in, we all got the job done and everybody went home happy.

They broken a functional system and it's hard to put it back together.
