It's much easier to pretend that there was a great conspiracy afoot or that everyone else was just plain stupid than face up to the fact that given the circumstances the majority were right and you were wrong.aiden01 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 22:30How exactly did they trick people into voting yes the agreement was there for everyone to read.guardianangel wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 14:32Haven't heard a thing from any union officer in our work place since they tricked people into voting yes, looks like they got what they set out to achieve, self preservation.
I'm surprised Piers Corbyn isn't protesting outside CWU HQ.

They tricked you by saying they would uphold the uso, before the ink was even dry they cut more staff and increased unachievable rounds and now the cwu are agreeing to destroy the uso,you really couldn't make it up,you have all been hoodwinked,i know you dont want to except they have done one over on you but this is the reality ,i seen this coming in March as soon as they started stalling, you think you done the best thing by voting yes this is just the start wait until next year ,i laugh so much at your naivety .aiden01 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 22:30How exactly did they trick people into voting yes the agreement was there for everyone to read.guardianangel wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 14:32Haven't heard a thing from any union officer in our work place since they tricked people into voting yes, looks like they got what they set out to achieve, self preservation.

Sheep don't survive very long outside the field.
Like you they don't have an alternative plan.

You're not some great seer of truth.
Everyone saw this coming.
The difference is we're not daft enough to believe that voting no would have made a blind bit of difference to what we saw coming.
It is you who is naive for thinking it would.

I’ll ask for the umpteenth time in hope of an answer - how would voting no have changed anything? If they are ignoring the agreement, why would they not have brought changes in without one? Think about it this time.guardianangel wrote: ↑02 Sep 2023, 22:00They tricked you by saying they would uphold the uso, before the ink was even dry they cut more staff and increased unachievable rounds and now the cwu are agreeing to destroy the uso,you really couldn't make it up,you have all been hoodwinked,i know you dont want to except they have done one over on you but this is the reality ,i seen this coming in March as soon as they started stalling, you think you done the best thing by voting yes this is just the start wait until next year ,i laugh so much at your naivety .aiden01 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 22:30How exactly did they trick people into voting yes the agreement was there for everyone to read.guardianangel wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 14:32Haven't heard a thing from any union officer in our work place since they tricked people into voting yes, looks like they got what they set out to achieve, self preservation.

Hello is anybody home !!!! if there was a NO vote we would of forced their hand and the governments to actually sort this s**t out once and for all instead now we are in limbo land not having a clue whats going to happen next,i would of rather it gone belly up then we could all move on, as i said before we will never know what could of happened because 70 % of the membership bottled it and it breaks my heart to see so many low paid and crap terms and conditioned work force.I'll ask again what have you actually achieved with a yes vote the job is no better or safer than before, sometimes i despairLouBarlow wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 06:35I’ll ask for the umpteenth time in hope of an answer - how would voting no have changed anything? Lol forced their hand to do what? Bring in changes without an agreement, including changing start times by up to 3 hours, which was their initial plan?guardianangel wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 09:43Hello is anybody home !!!! if there was a NO vote we would of forced their hand and the governments to actually sort this s**t out once and for all instead now we are in limbo land not having a clue whats going to happen next,i would of rather it gone belly up then we could all move on, as i said before we will never know what could of happened because 70 % of the membership bottled it and it breaks my heart to see so many low paid and crap terms and conditioned work force.I'll ask again what have you actually achieved with a yes vote the job is no better or safer than before, sometimes i despairLouBarlow wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 06:35I’ll ask for the umpteenth time in hope of an answer - how would voting no have changed anything? waiting for my redundancy only have a few years to go its no point changing now ,if i can get a bit of money great and get to retire early,to be honest a yes or no did not make much difference to me but the younger ones will now always be in a s**t job ,in my opinion and only mine the yes vote finally put the nail in the cwu's coffin they have now ended up like most others only really good enough for annual pay talks and that will probably be nudge nudge wink wink, the cwu had a chance to stay relevant but blew it.aiden01 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2023, 10:17Keep on laughing why are you still in a job you hate so much.guardianangel wrote: ↑02 Sep 2023, 22:00They tricked you by saying they would uphold the uso, before the ink was even dry they cut more staff and increased unachievable rounds and now the cwu are agreeing to destroy the uso,you really couldn't make it up,you have all been hoodwinked,i know you dont want to except they have done one over on you but this is the reality ,i seen this coming in March as soon as they started stalling, you think you done the best thing by voting yes this is just the start wait until next year ,i laugh so much at your naivety .aiden01 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 22:30How exactly did they trick people into voting yes the agreement was there for everyone to read.guardianangel wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023, 14:32Haven't heard a thing from any union officer in our work place since they tricked people into voting yes, looks like they got what they set out to achieve, self preservation.

Re: CWU REPS BRIEFING ISSUE 2: UPDATE ON TALKS WITH ROYAL MAIL GROUP
The government couldn’t give a crap about Royal Mail in their eyes we are just another delivery company.
Voting yes bought certainly which is what the majority of people want along with a pay rise. Voting no wasn’t an option for many people living week to week. I supposed wanting to have certainty and more money in your pocket is selling out.
Personally for me I’ve never known the job as stress free as it is today. No pressure to get done, no pressure to clear my door to doors as long as the tracked and specials are done then they are happy.
