Same happened to me yesterday, scanned it and it came up "if not in deliver to number 3" it was for number 89, yeah ok we've got a van but we haven't got 10 minutes to tit about driving backwards and forwards round the estate.

Because both #89 and #3 are on a main road with nowhere to park. The parcel weighs 25kg.

Pop a note through saying, parcel to be redirected as requested the following day. Scan as no answer attempt 1. Take the parcel back to the van and redeliver it the next day to the new address. A little naughty but passed caring.

Just sell delivery boxes in various sizes, come on RM money to be had will also be useful instead of low-down letter boxes !!

If you can't park and it takes 20 minites to deliver one packet why should you care?
It's RM's idea.
If you have to park at no.49 and walk either way to see if they're in first, just saunter down whistling while you go.
I'm past caring too so I just do as they want now.
Honestly the job is a lot easier now I've stopped trying to achieve the unachievable.

Not delivered > safeplace unavailable or unsafe.

P739 and the customer can arrange convenient redelivery. Instead they'll nominate 'leave in bin' and not be in because they'd otherwise have to wait - a mediaeval torture the public is apparently unable to endure anymore. We're now trapped between two extremes: next day delivery no matter what versus never because that would emit CO2.

Then don't do it. Commen sense. I safeplave most things now, but depending on the weather. If it's a box/fragile then it doesn't go undercovered if it's raining or over the gate. If it's in a bag like clothes or wrapped in plastic, it goes behind the bin or plant pot or whatever. I used to card everything by the book style, but having not had one denial of receipt in 9 years I'm just gonna keep going til I get a complaint.

I was wondering why I couldn't find the option in the app. My phone (Samsung S8, not that old I thought) is not supported by the new app version. No safe place for me.
