if u left the now u would hardly get any lump sum as its 40 per cent taxed if u leave the now so ive heard lucky if u get £500

And why would it be taxed at 40% if you leave?

at some point but I would imagine you'd have to put some leg work in with HMRC and good luck with that

Employees who leave after 4 August 2023 who are still eligible for this lump sum will be placed onto an emergency tax code by HMRC. As such they will see deductions of around 40% on this amount.
