Please does anyone know what DPR routes size parcels should be? Apparently our boss likes to hide it so He can dump all them on the HCT and P&L guys.

Get your union rep on it. The template should be constantly available, the ruling is fixed. If you cannot fit it in the box anyway up, it's oversize, (This WILL include numberplates. I don't give a f**k if I can carry 40 of them, they're oversized by rule.) If they're over a certain width and height, they must be under a certain depth, or they're oversized.

at a ROUGH estimate, if every dimension exceeds 20cm, it's likely oversized. *whether you can fit 5 in your bag doesn't matter, it's oversized.) If it's 20cm on its thinnest dimension, it must also be ROUGHLY 40x30cm or less on the other two. If it's between about 60cmx45cm in width and height, it cannot be thicker than 10cm.

as a glance rule: Actual SHOEboxes oversized, unless for toddlers. Specsavers and such contact lenses? not oversize most of the time. routers? Not oversize unless acconpanied by additional boxes in the shrinkwrap. Generally. Exceptions will exist.

these are rough guesstimates without the guide to hand, I can record the exact sizes if needed.

I'd be willing to take some borderline stuff if the parcel drivers and managers werent' being pr**s about those "multidrop" houses where they regularly get 10-20 parcels a day and for some reason, the ruling is "they're split how they're split" rather than taking the lot as one oversized drop. As it stands, the template is law. f**k em.

I am on a DPR route I regularly take tracked parcels out that go through letter boxes and parcels rubber banned together and told it's classed as large parcels when I complain to a manager or they just ignore me and walk away ....The parcel template is completely ignored... if its tracked or the postman cannot complete their duties because of the failed reversions the parcels or put on me to deliver or other DPR drivers

Given staffing levels in DOs that's gotta be the same in a very sizeable chunk of DOs
