Has anyone had it confirmed what is the start date for the autumn seasonal variations the agreement states week 24 which is w/c 11 September but our office is saying it will start 4th September?

4th September is week 24 according to RM.

1.24 of the seasonal variation annex clearly says the 24 mins is before the current start time.
Have the trials changed this as i know our DOM is keen to do 14 and 10.

been told today seasonal hours will start september but if its flexible give 2 hour take 2 hours in winter how can it start this year as it will mean for 17 weeks till xmas we will give em 34 hours free and not take any back in this year so weve doing 34 hours work without pay or flexing back surey needs to start from next april ???

You raise an interesting point. Because the end of the financial year, is the end of march. So effectively we are working this financial year, extra hours for nothing!

Its illegal to not pay you within 12 weeks of doing the work,its definitely illegal but will anybody be man enough to challenge it because the CWU wont help you,would be interesting thou,they can make you work but they have to pay you its that simple they cant roll pay over until next may.

How would banking hours and TOIL work then?

In a proper annualised hours contract both sides commit to a set number of hours in a year then divide pay into 12 or 52 equal payments so how would that work if it was "illegal"?

You could work 75% of your hours in the first 6 months, you would still only get 50% of your pay..

Had it confirmed by HR that its 14 mins at the start and 10 mins at the end nationally.

So that is what, now 4 aspects of the agreement RM are ignoring? Impressive to have more breaches than weeks the agreement has been in place. Proof indeed that they were always going to do what they wanted no matter the outcome of the vote. At least with the yes we get the extra money while being shafted. Hopefully.

Yes that’s what I get but week 24 on my calendar is actually starting 11/9/23 which would mean week 38 would take us up to w/c 18/12/23 and our last day working 39 hours would be 23rd December whereas they (RM) have week 24 starting 4/9/23 ? meaning we revert back to 37 hours on 18th December but surely that is the busiest week?

Yeah that's a bit strange.

It might be specific to my office, but we always have nights on rota over Christmas and there is little IPS to be done in the morning when the normal shift starts. Might be why.
