The Net is full of those ridiculous comments, like "it's only Farage, serves him right", "banks can choose who they want as customers" and "he can go elsewhere if he wants" which only goes to prove the World of Stupid gets bigger by the day.
As has been said above, imagine the furore had it been a figure on the Left.
Would it have been more than what we’ve seen with Farage? Im not so sure. Really not so sure at all.

Mr Farage has a media profile and is able to make it front page news,I've no doubt there's loads been in the same boat but as 'nobodys' havnt been able to get anywhere. Hopefully now it's more widely known those others may get there problem addressed. What views did Mr Farage hold that were so bad his bank kicked him out?
Are you a fan of his?

It's rather strange to hear the right champion government interference in business.

Next you'll be saying pubs should be banned from putting racist dolls on display.
I don't know who will be saying that particular little nugget, but it's SFA to do with this issue.
It's rather strange that those on the Left would consider such actions as being either understandable or acceptable.
Then again, it's only Farage etc etc.
Until it isn't.

It is a bit disturbing that such people (bankers) in this case feel they have the moral authority to pick and choose who has a bank account, it's like they crave control over others,

If a particular pie shop decides they don't want to sell you a pie they are not deciding you cannot eat pies, there are plenty of other pie shops.

This bank decided they didn't want Farage as one of their business customers, they didn't ban him from having a bank account, there are plenty of other banks.

The right are turning into a bunch of drama queens.

Oh ek Woody you've lost me. If you havnt a bank account you are going to really struggle, is that what you want for people with opinions you dont like? Why do you assume I'm on the right? My views cover a broad spectrum , I can agree with conservative and more labour views depending on the subject

Lloyd Russell Moyle a very left wing MP has also had many problems with banks from what he said with Farage tonight. This isn’t a left vs right thing this is stopping banks cutting an essential service from someone who doesn’t have the so called right values.

I'm sure Mr Farage has a few bank accounts.
Probably one or two in the Cayman Islands.
He wasn't refused a bank account, the bank closed a business account he had.

If you believe in the free market people with differing political views will never struggle for a financial home. The market will provide.

I've never said I didn't like anyone's political views, this is about the hypocrisy of promoting government interference in a business decision by people who strongly believe that the government should not interfere in business decisions.

It's a hypocrisy that people like Farage are famous for.
The welfare state is communism.
The state propping up earnings with tax credits so companies can pay their staff less is capitalism at its best.

This is nothing more than a distraction, the main reason people are excluded from financial resources in this country are economic, not political.

Start asking questions about credit ratings and why poorer people pay more to access money and credit than rich people no matter their political views.

Yes the hateful left are famous for championing the freedom of business to decide who they do business with.

Things have changed in the last decade. Self-avowed communists wear Disney t-shirts instead of Che Guevara ones while the new neoliberals demand the state proactively nannies.

Always remember: at first they came for the grifters and I said nothing because I wasn't a grifter. Then they came for... etc.
The machine stops.
