Re: Royal Mail delivering parcel force parcels
I'm in a city d.o and we've been delivering parcel force parcells for weeks now .
I have a theory on why this is happening .
RM bump a % of PF parcells to the d.o's
There is now less work at PF to justify full time employment...full time staff replaced by self employed drivers and suddenly the % of PF parcells are returned to PF this done over time will give RM the self employed drivers they want .
Just a theory absolutely no inside knowledge.
Maybe someone higher up in your workers association can tell you what their buddies in management are up too.

Re: Royal Mail delivering parcel force parcels
There was a mention in the agreement somewhere about PF being merged into RM so this maybe the start of it. In rural areas, haven't walks taken all the PF staff for a number of years now?

Is it a case of needing more parcels for the hubs?

Every delivery office should have at least one sack trolley available for handling heavy goods. Where a sack trolley is not in situ then one should be ordered. Delivery office managers and area safety representatives, with support from workplace coaches, will be expected to ensure that all Delivery colleagues are able to correctly use a sack trolley and where to access one.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

What's the point in just one trolley? Who gets to take it out when it comes to getting a 30kg parcel out of the van to deliver it?POSTMAN wrote: ↑20 Jul 2023, 19:58Every delivery office should have at least one sack trolley available for handling heavy goods.
