Managers bonus and what about the postmen and women

Post by par4mrl »

Managers just run their offices and areas to suit getting the golden carrot that is dangled in front of them I.e their bonus. I have never known an organisation that rewards just the managers several times a year for corruptly doing a job ie not reporting failures and smudging figures or office hours or not running to full capacity. This company really needs to introduce a fair bonus system that rewards everyone and I guarantee that you will see happier postmen and women as they will feel valued. Yes Simon I’m talking to you. Sort this out as it’s unfair and rewards bad management who tell you nothing that is going on concerning the shop floor. Over 32 years here and frankly I’m sick of this s**t day in day out. Clarity and parity that rewards all, how hard can that be

I've still got my Employee Share Certificate, it hasn't paid out in what seems like years now🤭

A reward for pushing in a revision as fast as you can , but leaving the office in a mess and us with the pressure. Why not do things for the benefit of the office rather than this awful bonus culture? Culture change i dont think so, nothings changed

Do they get it several times a year? I thought it was once and in Summer? I also thought they hadn't paid it for a few years now

Did they not stop their bonuses about the same time as they cancelled the dividend due to the state of the company? I'd imagine they'll be back again now due to the company doing better and share price recovering. They got the bonus in January, I believe.

Postie's bonus is 1%

Manager's bonus is up to 10%

As Posties performance is difficult to manage and would cause even more admin for managers and Posties being told off for errors... I think a performance related bonus for Posties is too much of a hassle....

I'd have thought it would be fair that Posties get at least a 4% bonus each and every year, especially due to the 6 weeks before xmas and how much we go the extra mile which we do not have to do.... most of us will work extra hours to help out and keep the company from drowning in post and parcels.

A £200 bonus is an absolute insult.

Just wondered if van repairs like nails in van tyres come out of the managers bonus? Obviously it would have an effect if a van was left in the yard awaiting repair? I would say a postie on a normal day if he looked would pick up 15 to 20 nails & screws a day :hmmmm

Are you seriously suggesting on a open forum that sabotaging company vehicles is a good idea, if you are that disgruntled by manager's getting a bonus why not become a manager yourself? `

Whilst it's a move in the right direction it's fairly minimal bonus and if RM never returns to profit we may never get it but managers seem to get their bonus regardless of RM making profits or losses?
