It must be the cow farts :left: Yep the Earth warms and cools, get over it.

People cannot seem to understand that the very people ramming climate change down our throats are making fortunes along with their buddies. Let’s keep the masses in check.
The people spreading conspiracy nonsense to gullible folks online, are also getting rich from it.

No just people who can see throgh the nonsense, real climate figures only truly started in 1985 with satellite technology etc and even now there not even certain all the complex variables are correct the warming up and down of the planet has always been cyclical they know this off drilling samples.

See through the nonsense? Which scientific studies should I be reading then to convince me?

For centuries every town and village would have some religious town crier who would ring his hand bell shouting “The End Is Nigh!” And usually offer a way to some kind of salavation.
It’s the same now but instead it’s called The News.

The climate is definitely getting hotter that can’t be debated

The bit that can be debated is how much impact humans have on speeding up or slowing down climate change

We know it was much hotter during the Jurassic period, great for reptiles not so beneficial for mammals

We also know that we’ve had an ice age

It’s like a giant season, it’s going to get hotter maybe we can slow it down or maybe it’s beyond our control

We can’t stop the seasons so maybe we should be putting more effort into finding ways to adapt

But I suppose it doesn’t hurt to try and give ourselves more time to find those ways to survive

Although it would be very egotistical of us to think we can stop global warming when it’s part of our earths cycle

You can't be convinced of anything as you are closed minded, keep believing the News as critical thinking is beyond your capabilities, you may as well just keep outsourcing your opinions to someone else, preferably with credentials.

It is a better approach than plucking ideas off of conspiracy nut websites as you seem to be doing. Critical thinking my arse.

Thanks for the name richie - I’ll check her out. I’m not brainwashed by the media, for what it is worth though, I merely have more trust in 97% of the world’s scientists than you do obviously.

No idea why you are so obsessed with conspiracy theories.
Anybody who disagrees with you is apparently a conspiracy theorist, it's almost as if you have been programmed to respond in this way.
I will ask again and no doubt you will dodge the question but which conspiracy theories in particular am I propagating ?

I left Facebook in 2011 due to the spread of obvious disinformation about the Tottenham riots (people claiming they'd reached the town I live in, and disbelieving those of us close enough to see that nothing was happening)
I left Twitter in 2016 due to the spread of obvious disinformation about everything.
Then I joined RMC so I can read the same, futile debates.... but this time by posties

You seem very paranoid if everything is disinformation, that'll probably go over your head.

Ok, I’ve had a quick read and, she doesn’t seem like a climate change denier at all. She even admits that human generated greenhouse gases are responsible. The only contrary part of her thesis is the rate at which the planet is warming and whether mitigating it is financially possible. They seem reasonable points to make, but she hardly sounds like a sceptic, at all, and doesn’t seem to tally with what you are saying here.

The only thing that makes me uneasy, is she complains about financial gain being a motivator for the majority of scientists selling the accepted narrative and doom-mongering…..then writes books herself on the subject. Unless she is giving those books away and not being paid for public appearances, then she is gaining from this contrary opinion too.

Still, an interesting read.

Not everything, just the things that were demonstrably false.
Thanks for your condescending response though, it was super grown up of you!

Yet your allowed to be condescending.

Its a debate thats how we whittle down falsehoods at least Lou had the maturity to actually debate.
