How wide is the time-gap between RMPP and Capita forcasts?

I'm an ex employee and finished on medical retirement grounds 2 years ago. I requested an Age55 pension forcast via the RMPP Pensions Help Line on Monday 12th June. I was told Captita would be automatically instructed to supply the same.

RMPP forcast arrived in super quick time - Thursday of the same week, with an instruction to return by 7th July.

Two weeks later I am still waiting for the Capita forcast.

For those with experience, how long is the gap between the two usually? From posts on this forum I have come to expect that Capita will always come second...

As I would really like/need the two forcasts to make an educated decision based the two combined parts of the equasion... and time is ticking away on returning the RMPP paperwork in time. Thanks!

Hate to tell you but based on my experience,I was 60 in May I filled all my forms in quickly and guess what I’m still waiting for my NRA 60 lump sum and monthly payment
I’ve phoned Capita up 3 times , the 3rd time I lodged a complaint, I now have to wait 14 days for a reply (I’m now 7 days in ) next stop is the pension finance ombudsman, if you read posts about capita in this forum they don’t cover themselves in glory. Good Luck

Turning 60 at the end of July.
The initial forecasts came within 1 day of each other, with Capita the second one.
Having completed all the paperwork for both companies, the RMPS and Capita, the RMPS confirmed all was correct and the payments of the lump sum and pension would commence on the correct day in July. That was on the 5th of June.
I heard nothing from Capita so I phoned them last Friday. Their representative was very helpful but as I hadn't told them the LTA for the RMPS starting at the same time, I needed to fill in a further section of the form( you would have thought this info would have been available to them but apparently not).
She stated they had sent a new form out on 14th June but it's never materialised so without me chasing it up,who knows how long I would have waited?!
I think Capita need to be regularly contacted to ensure all is proceeding as expected.

Thanks for the info - sorry you're having a crap time with Capita. They are going to owe you a chunk of back-pay when they get their bum into gear?

A pension forcast from them before the RMPP one goes out of date on the 7th would be a good start for me.

I thought the LTA was irrelevant unless you were over six 0's or something? That's something I will need to be aware of - thanks.
I understand what you mean with regard to monitoring Capita's progress... especially when initial payments lump sums are concerned. If your left hanging when things should go "live" and payments made then you can't help but wonder what the problem is... and it seems they don't rush to tell you.

RMPP said it could take up to three weeks for my forcast from themselves - I was very suprised when it turned up just 2 days later. ... no suprises from Capita alas.

Yes you do have to fill in the LTA form, The percentage you need is there on your paperwork. mine was like 6% You would think they would know it especially if like me you only have a RM pension.I doubt any of our workforce would exceed it because as you say its like a million pounds! I took my NRA60 pension a couple of years early. I didnt find it too painful a process though there was a gap between receiving them both. Looking at my second payment in a few days. I hope that goes smoothly. I have never felt so rich.

Capita requests the LTA percentage from the RMPP forcast which doesent seem to give it as a "%".
RMPP says on their paperwork that you will get the percentage of LTA when they start to pay you, but that could be the end of September (birthday month) and I need to send both RMPP and SMSPS(Capita) off at the same time - ie this week. Why RMPP dont put it on the paperwork the same as Capita do is odd . Or even why they ask for a percentage instead of just the monatary value and let them work it out. It's very confusing.

I just received my first RMPP letter last week. The lifetime allowance form needs to be filled in and sent off in 14 days time as "not to delay the pension". Now is it a case of wait patiently for Capita to get in touch ? What if I've heard nothing from them before the deadline ?

My capita took 3 weeks, including 5 days from posting, first class. RMPP took Monday to Thursday. If RMPP form goes past the return date you can request another, or I think it will be recalculated on receipt. It won’t make much difference I think.

Or you can tell RMPP your figures and the option you were choosing and they could give u the percentage so u could fill in the Capita papwork and send it off sooner, ie the same time as your RMPP half.

So, I completed Capita and RMPP pension claims after receiving forcasts (with help over the phone from RMPP)
and returned bost sets of paperwork on a Wednesday.

The following Wednesday RMPP follow-up arrived, detailing the dates of lump-sum and regular pension payments, all good and super quick turn around - even more so with a weekend in the mix. Good job RMPP.

Ten days after RMPP arrived there's no Capita paperwork yet.

I am aware that they are the slower of the pair to process, does anyone recall how far behind they usually are or can it depend on how far away my pension triggering Birthday is? In my case it's September, so more than a month to go yet.
