Lost collection keys

How many keys have you lost and why wait to tell the manager, the sooner they start looking for them the better?

Losing keys isn't a big deal, we are only human. Not telling your manager straight away will cause you more problems.

I lost both collection and van keys in an awful area, reported and never had to worry about it again. Apart from my co-workers taking the mic.

I lost 2 collection keys. I may have left them in the key hole. I hope someone hands them in.

Yes if a dog walker or member of general public sees it they may put the keys into the box for safeguarding.

It's happened to me before, but always recoverable.

I did it just last week, the lady in the florist opposite took it out and phoned up and they told her to post it in the box. recovered next day. I dread to think what happens if someone takes them.

Who's meant to be responsible for the signing in and out of keys? Why didn't they check that all the keys were handed back in?

I’ve left keys in my last collection box before. It was annoying but I went straight back out and luckily they were still in there.

Try not to worry, I’ve heard this happened at our place and nothing serious took place. Sh1t happens.
