sorry not been on "royalmailchat" for a long time. reading all the comments, it's definitely a NO vote from myself. why couldn't the CWU place notice on RM for strike dates on jan, feb and march of this year after our record breaking yes vote in December. the CWU should have kept the pressure on and shown we were serious, but sadly our union didn't have a strategy in place and were weak to do so. RM then were rubbing their hands thinking "we have broken them" and smiling all the way to the boardroom, putting in executive action, moving people off their duties and the reason for this was "THE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS", and we can't say BOO, pretty rubbish.
We aren't even getting a vote yet (I wonder why), the union leadership have gone into self-protection mode as, when the chips are down, they cave in to an appalling employer who will break any agreement made. Vote NO when the time comes, as a YES vote is worthless.

The employer will not stop changes, agreement or no agreement, until we all have our own bogus self employment deliveries and mail centres are contracted out, pipeline broken up. Make life easy for them, they'll move rapidly to this goal, make it hard and it will slow it down, and it may change hands to a more decent employer willing to work with us.

How stupid do you have to be to think that anyone can get a better deal?

This deal is the one needed to turn the company around, recover the wasted money and then secure a better deal in 2025.

It's really not rocket science (although anything above "what is 2+2?” is rocket science if you read that socialist website nonsense) :nana :nana :nana

You always shoudl negotiate from a position of strength :thumbup
Accept the deal painstakingly engineered by the CWU Executive, and use it as a platform,
to negotiate an even better deal in 2025.
When you negotiate in a Spirit of Harmony and Concord, you always get a fair and just settlement
on both sides, that makes economic and financial sense all round.

I beg to differ.

A yes vote guarantees postal workers jobs in a very challenging and competitive labour market, notwithstanding the onslaught of AI removing jobs from the scene like snow off a dyke.

In no way does it guarantee anything.

Correct,

Any one who thinks a ‘YES’ vote will secure anything other than more attacks in 18 months when this agreement expires is seriously deluded, that’s if they even stick to the agreement for they 18 months, early signs suggest they have no intention of doing so.

Vote no.
Until theres a relative pay raise comparative to other companies and industries then it's no..no...no
The post is still an essential service yet it's workers are being treated as optional "take it or leave it" type workers.
The amount of pure junk we still deliver suggests our pricing is still too low (thanks regulator) and of course losing the most profitable part of the delivery has hurt this company more than any other single thing.
Until this is resolved it's still a race to the bottom ,.provide the cheapest , lowest quality service and give poor consideration to costs that are seen as some type of hindrance which are essential such as paying it's workers and providing adequate equipment and safety to do the job properly.
