The minute Royal Mail made it clear to the CWU leaders how a no vote would impact on themselves ,the terrible deal suddenly became acceptable,Dave Ward has reneged and backtracked on so many things we were fighting against right from the start,What happened to win the ballot win the dispute,we will get u a no strings attached pay deal members deserve,no attacks on terms & conditions,all these promises by CWU helped them to a massive 97% Yes vote from the members,in my opinion it looks like the CWU have sold us out to preserve their own jobs,for this reason I have to vote NO

And if it is a no vote then what, the changes are still going to happen so we might as well get a pay rise for it while we still can, and also to keep a job and to have money paid into our pensions

Do you really think voting No is going to change anything, it's not like RM are them going to forget all about the late starts etc if we vote No.

The cwu have been pretty much useless from the start how many strike dates got challenged in court and won by r.mail,the hopeless 1 and 2 day strikes ,our leadership is poor and wouldn't be at all surprised if ward resigned after the surrender becomes official,guys like FilthyBloke called it from the start and got slaughtered for it but he was right they will come back to you with a s**t deal and paint as the best they could get. I don't think filthy bloke was completely right if we had striked for a week it could of been totally different but the union fumbled about as you said.

Weighing it all up, you have to be crazy to vote no....

Voting no =

- The unknown.
- Having to strike and lose more money.
- We might end up with a crapper deal down the line.
- Risk of recession looming, they might not offer the same pay rise again.
- Damages the company more = more chance of less pay being offered.
- Mortgages and rental costs going through the roof, surely most people need the pay rise now and not risk a worse deal coming later.

This change that is happening is inevitable whether you vote yes or no.

There is no chance of us getting an improved offer by voting no, and would cause so much faffing about for many more months.

How much stronger a fight do we have to put up, than striking at Christmas? How much support do you think you would have for an all out indefinite strike, and what do you think that would achieve, considering we are working for a company that is bleeding money? I’m honestly interested in how you would proceed at this point.

Many people wouldn’t want to strike again, I for one don’t as I didn’t stand for hours in minus 9 centigrade to get this crap deal. I’m sure it will be a yes vote, then we have to move on.It’s not going to be great, but those who don’t like it can always move to the better paid unskilled jobs that I keep hearing about. I have looked for such vacancies but I can’t find them.

I voted no, the deal is a sell out, it will get voted in regardless. I can't have it on my conscious that I voted yes to this garbage, so many red lines the union wouldn't back down on and they have. If you would have told me at the start of striking this would have been the outcome then I would have crossed the picket line, union have been weak and utterly useless. All that Royal Mail want will come in anyway but I'm not prepared to sell my soul cos of a £900 bribe. I think it will be a 90% no vote, maybe a few more sold out for the extra £900, so a bit less now.

I would be staggered if the result is a yes vote.
