Just wondering if this is tax free or Is tax payable on it . has anyone taken vr and been taxed on it at a later date cheers.

Redundancy payments below £30k should be tax free.

Just a warning for people over 60yrs of age you don't get the same redundancy pay, a chap at our office who was 62 had the shock of his life, being at RM for 42yrs was only offered £2,800 yes you read it right being over 60yrs f____s you , when he asked why is it so low he was told by the interviewing manager that it was a agreement with the union years ago he took IHR 2 month's later and you know that's more than £2,800.
