Re: £900 - CWU, Why?
I must admit bankrolling our pay rise with a pension surplus piggy bank doesn’t sit well. I’ve been here long enough to remember the pension sabbatical back in the nineties which nearly closed the plans down. I’m sure posties would rather know their pension pots are 100% safe rather than have a sweetener to clinch a deal.

Re: £900 - CWU, Why?
In terms of CWU and RM negotiating right now yes. But, after a NO vote, they will be forced to come up with a better deal by us, the real CWU. This deal needs to be rejected in order for a better deal. We are negotiating by using our NO vote

Re: £ 900 - CWU, Why?
Nonsense. There will be no better deal if you vote no. You are kidding yourself, and others too.
Honestly I am beginning to believe there are agent provocateurs on this forum, whose sole aim is to destroy postal worker's jobs and Royal Mail.
It wouldn't surprise me if some of these rabble rousing posters actually don't work for Royal Mail,
and instead work for DPD, Amazon etc, and are deliberatly stoking and encouraging a no vote, for the demise of Royal Mail and all postal worker's jobs.
Don't be beguiled by these people

Re: £ 900 - CWU, Why?
Because it's pro rata at that grades FT hours. Managers are 37 hrs FT. Some RM front line CWU are 33hrs FT. It's quite possible for someone to work more hours PT than someone else in another grade FT.
