I would be most grateful if anyone could kindly be able to assist with any information to my queries below please as the so called management appear to either have no knowledge or it changes weekly:-
1. Does IHR still exist?
2. If so depending on service (i have 20 years) is it still 34 weeks basic pay (tax free) plus 12 weeks PILON?
3. Is IHR changing in the near future or does it change in the new agreement (that has not been voted on yet)?
3. Is there such a thing as medical retirement and if so do you know the details please?
4. I have arthritis in both hips and feel as i am being pressured to return regardless as to if i can walk 17 miles a day does anyone know how long Rehab can last up to or is this something that only OH can assess (i am being referred to them) as my so called caring manager appears to be saying it can only last for a period of 4-6 weeks.
Any help to the above would very helpful so thank you in advance, i really mean that all.

Re: Info on Ill Health & Medical Retirement Please
I'll health retirement is still in place, I signed the paper work on the 9th May. I got 34 weeks plus pilon 12 weeks. I had been with royail mail for 22 years. They are changing it on the 1st August. If it gets voted in. You need to get your manager to put you forward for ill health. Then you go through oh assist. Good luck. Best thing I have ever done.
