You would think profit will return too the buisness soon?.New Yorks saving £8m a year or more say 10,000 people have left that saves £300m a year. Passport contract worth £190m a year and probably more then £100m a year on revision etc.

If they can’t make a profit now then they never will. But we will get the blame for their failures yet again, so they will look to make further cuts to our terms and conditions until there is nothing left. Vote no!

As usual their only hope is the government bailing them out with a tasty contract, remember covid test kits, they will probably still manage somehow to grab defeat from the jaws of victory and then expect us to sacrifice all our conditions and work 20hr days to pull them out of a hole. The union might even say its the best they can get for us and a victory for the union as they are still in the room.

Didn't they project to break even in the next financial year? According to one of the senior managers that came to our DO, if this deal goes through they're expecting to get back around half the contracts they've lost in the last year. Not sure where it leaves the revisions though, given they've been done on current volumes which are way down given the turmoil of the last year both coz of the strikes and state of the economy currently. Adding all that work back in will make the revisions even worse.

My postie, today says that his manager told him that the union have agreed that the revisions are O.K and that total workload clearance should be reintroduced. He said it was a national not a local agreement.

So all revisions are O.K......O.K?
