Post by pieoftheday »

I'm in section B of the old RM pension, been paying in as a full time since 1988, section B was kept open for Cadets that started in 1986, I'm hoping to take the lot in 2 years st 55, how do I work out a ball park figure for the lump sum and monthly pension? Ta in advance

Take the figures from your last statements, and deduct 5% for each year you're taking your benefits before NRA.
So if you take it all at 55 your NRA60 will be reduced by 25% and your NRA65 by 50%.
