London weighting is an allowance given to people who live or work in the london area to help with the higher costs of living or working in the capital e.g property prices, transport costs e.t.c

Johnny are you inner London and what way have you been advised to vote.?
I wasn't at our meeting but i heard our rep advised us to vote yes as it's gonna come in anyway as the inner boys get a good screw out of it.
I'm outer.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

What sort allowance do you get?it's a bit of a sickener for everyone else outside of London cos the cost of living is quite alot no matter where you live.

I agree fishy costs are high everywhere but its a fact that london is one if not the most expensive city to live and work any where in the world. At the moment we get an allowance of £4,084 a year if the deal is accepted it will rise to £4,313 for inner london and £3,154 for outer london.
