When do you fuel up your van

This may sound like a stupid question. And some of you may say when it’s nearly empty

I usually fill up every week on the easy days and I don’t wana get back to the office too early lol. (Tuesday on a normal week) (Wednesday on a bank holiday week)
So I can keep on top of the game

Some are Peugeot and some are Mercedes, very nice to drive and you do change your driving style (ie lift and coast) to regenerate the battery. The set up difference between the two models is quite a contrast.

I did my 90 mins training in a Peugeot, then i was allocated a Mercedes

The range is terrible though, only 94 miles in the Mercedes in economy mode.

I prefer driving combo vans.

Yes, its quite different so extra training is required.

There is no gear stick or clutch.

You will be allocated a 90 mins slot, short talk then drive about 10 miles practising and practising.

Electric vans is clearly the way forward and presumably what our customers now expect of us.

How many DOs will have the yard space to be able to have all their electric vans (assuming they went over to only using electric vans) charging overnight?

The electric vans are very easy to drive once you have got used to the dimensions on them, you have to be careful on the tighter roads though. I prefer the Peugeot ones, the range is better and you can use the brake function to charge the battery up when you are out and about. And of course both have plenty of room in the back. You are also sat higher in the cabin, so have a better view of the road ahead, which feels safer.

Space Phoenix, wherever you park your van overnight in the yard now will remain the same.

The charging points will be installed so that you can plug the van in. Maybe only 14 of 20 will need a charge up overnight and you can therefore rotate the vans accordingly.

Staff parking their own cars in a charging bay is not an ideal situation.

I don’t have an easy day, not ever managed to complete the delivery am currently on.

Same as, Monday or Tuesday to kill time. We do it once a week, but as we only do about 6 or 7 miles a day it's still pretty much full.
