30 minutes flex if workload requires it

Ok so its week one after flexi time has been introduced and you've had to flex 3 days and your owed 1hr 30. You get asked to come in 30 mins late Monday Tuesday Wednesday next week to get your time back, however Monday is busy and you are asked to flex 30 mins , this happens Tuesday and also Wednesday so you havnt had your time back, in theory this could go on for weeks and you would never get your time owed back?

Not been agreed yet but If it did happen stick to weeks if they use clock in out make sure you clock out on time and go home on time!

To add insult to injury I think in the "agreement" it said balanced out over a 10 day period.

So yes it's s**t and as you say they'll no doubt try to balance it out by saying start later.

Be a hell of a job to enforce it most will leave this s**t job and the managers will have to do it or find other workers who will leave in days!

I've never known management in my DO ask people to flex ,let's hope it remains that way,something tells me it wont if the agreement crosses the line

It is a case of enforcement depends on the staffing level on the local economy in your area or the managers should invest in walking boots!

Just seems hard to follow. Flex 3 times like the earlier example, so come in late 3 times. Each of those days your asked to flex, an on an on it goes. Managers then bullying staff that won't flex whilst the weaker members just suffer in silence.

I've an easier idea. If there's a need to flex, why not just pay overtime instead. Quick simple and transparent. And it's seasonal too as apparently some weeks are busier than others.

Now that's the current way of working, obviously they can't manage anything as complicated as organising the amount of staff required to do the work ratio in any way whatsoever so they have to resort to forcing the available staff to work extra to get it done.

I don't know if any one voluntarily flexed in the current system when asked but I did once, went over 25 Mins, came in 25 Mins late the following morning to my job which hadn't been touched, no mech in , nothing. Was late again that day but cut off and never did it again. It's shafting us big time and if it's compulsory

Once bitten twice shy. We got caught out with this before. We came in 30 minutes later the following day and was told to go straight on the sorting as we had to take the time off our prep time.

Ours have tried to impose it for years.
Every time they f**k up. They say it's not optional.
Last time was after the strike days.
He even said it was because of the strike.

Then tried to impose one two weeks before the next strike day .
