I'm ex RM and my van share partner transferred to a Dorset office (BH postcode) last year, from what he has said there are more solo duties in his office than van shares and it is a smaller one than before. The office we worked together at has been seriously under-staffed for some years with several duties uncovered every day, but the one he moved to has most duties covered every day. He has enjoyed the work more there than before and says the office is well run with a decent manager, but he can see the shitstorm coming and is seriously looking to get out when the opportunity comes up.

If someone wants to send me a PM, I'll pass it on.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
