Re: stopping union payments
Apparently you can do it via the app. A few have just opted out at mine today. They said it takes 30 seconds. No phone call needed. Just doing mine now.

Disgraceful, if the union is weaker by people like you pulling out how on earth are we going to fight the inevitable attack on our terms and conditions in the future, you really haven’t thought this through have you?

Re: stopping union payments
I contacted HR on my payslip to cancel my CWU fees. Straight forward, they stop the following week. Still get all the crap from the union, emails, post etc
Been brought in a couple of times in front of the screws but just took a witness in with me and it was actually more civil than when I usually had my rep with me. We had a gate meeting yesterday and from an office that was 100% behind the strikes only a quarter went out to the gate to listen. All this s**t “ stand by the union” is only wasting your own time, they had the biggest mandate ever and threw it away. RM are going to do what they want and if you can’t cope with the consequences there’s plenty more shitty jobs across Britain.
