Maybe it's more to do with the company carrying on being hostile to staff and reps and pushing through ridiculous revisions.
They probably know the vote won't go through if many areas are still been aggressively targeted by guv'nors.

There is no longer any alternative other than to grab the 6 and look for other employment. Does anyone think they can deal with this for decades to come. The shitty deal ends in 2 years anyway. Might as well have the payrise until they screw us over p&o style. The union obviously can't be relied upon. This is desperate damage limitation but there is nothing left to hang onto.

I wouldn't throw the towel in yet. Things could still all change in the not-too-distant future. Maybe OFCOM will act eventually. Maybe the board won't last if the ballot result is a no and uncertainty and strikes are ongoing. These things often pass if you hang on long enough.

Might as well wait and get the extra grand and then f**k off. RM and union don't care if you do and would probably encourage it as long as it's a yes vote. Just so the next generation of posties are on the s**t contracts.

that means the ballot papers will go out
i dont think its a coincidence that the vote was put back to the day after the new inflation figures getting released
today they will probably try and tell us that its a good deal and we should vote yes because inflation is falling
the rumour about the extra lump sum will not be confirmed or denied its a seed in the hope we vote for the deal in the off chance we might get it
we wont but the seed has been sown

CPI has dropped to 8.7% which is the headline most people will see and this will no doubt bounce a few more people into voting Yes, but RPI is still stuck on 11.1%.
You have to research hard to find this statistic but because it's still used in a lot of contracts (including Section C of the RMPP) it's still published.
