Are you saying the union want us to vote yes so they will keep the membership money of a membership that will disappear when our jobs are gone?
I don't think you have thought through any of that post.
It is contradictory.
Have you managed to get a life outside of Royal Mail?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Anyone that has been in the business long enough knows this implicitly especially what you said about the finances.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
If he has left, he is no longer under the pressure of being financially dependent on this employer. No longer subject to the physical and mental demands of this employer.
I can understand his interest as a recent leaver. I also hope he is either happily retired or in reasonable employment.
I'm not sure but I think you've left the company. That's unusual because most people who say they hate the job hang around hating the job for 20 to 40 years , moaning how crap it is. But if you've left a job you hate why bother posting on a RM forum. So you've left , but still ranting and raving and name calling about a job you don't have and a company you don't work for. I think that's a bit odd to be honest. We all get worked up one way or another but to get worked up after you've gone is quite scary. It means you can't walk away and let go... scary indeed.

I think most people know that there is nothing to their advantage in one of the worst deals I have ever seen a union agree with an employer.
The majority in my office is for No.
I cannot, for the life of me, see it being any different at any other D.O.
