If you mean paid extra like royal mail staff do then I doubt it very much,they get paid by the agency for the hours they work.

Agency don't get overtime. Agency get paid an hourly rate for the hours they work (hours they book - most likely into an app or website). See any advert like this as an example: https://www.manpower.co.uk/job/326433/delivery-driver/

That one currently says "Up to £15.71 per hour". So they get that (or slightly less) per hour for each hour - calculated by the minute. If they don't work they don't get paid anything (Sundays and D/O). If they are only required for a few hours on a particular day that's all they get. If they happen to work all day and more they get all day and more hours. When they are no longer required they are told the gig is up.

Not really no, they get paid for the time they spend working regardless of what they do in that time.
