Think these are left back at locker as usual. I’m awaiting instructions from the work place coach :chuckle

Specials are only by 1 on the first attempt. And only on a Saturday if they have a Saturday sticker on them

Why are u guys worrying. Just do the same process. Put the new stickers up mark them up but…
Specials get handed in locker.
Tracks/normal packets on ur walk York.

And obviously specials have to be attempted by 1pm.

Job done. Go home put a bit of Del Boy on the telly

Special Deliveries are to be redelivered the next day - the same as all streams of mail.
They need to go back to a secure location at the end of the day.

so is specials go back to the callers and redelivered next day, so be interesting to see who is to do the work, recording the scan in, putting the sticker on, us or the caller on the pda

You scan it no answer by 1 if noone home as normal. You get back to office whack the sticker on. Fill out first attempt details then hand into locker. The following day the specials guy will automatically assign you back that special for second attempt. Simples.

No.

I have always been told by managers, and the person in the cage that they have to be delivered by 1pm even when they are redelivered days later.

There was once something in writing from Royal Mail that clarified that redelivery of a Special Delivery did not require delivery by 1pm on subsequent attempts at delivery, I wish I had made a copy of it or bookmarked a link to it. Can anyone help, so we can produce it to cover managers who come in and insist incorrectly that a redelivery of a Special has to be done by 1pm, to save us pointlessly having to go off route to do it?

I saw something as well but I can't find it either.
100% the clock stops at the 1st attempt.
The customer pays for it to be delivered before 1-ONCE.
That has always been the way regardless of auto redelivery.

By not redelivering by 1 the next day does not flag up a fail.
