Has Simon Thompson been gagged by the Royal Mail Board?

Apologies if this has been raised in any other threads on this site - it's easy for things to get buried in other threads in this busy section!

I'm asking myself why Simon Thompson seems to have gone AWOL on Workplace (Royal Mail's internal Facebook, for anyone who isn't familiar with it). He might simply be on holiday, but it does seem odd he hasn't apparently created any posts since 25 April - over a week ago to date. During most of the dispute, he was posting on there multiple times a day, much of the time posting material which seemed to be designed to goad posties and stir things up and the sheer amount of stuff he was putting on there made you wonder if he did much else as CEO other than post on Workplace all day.

Does anyone have any idea why all has gone quiet on the Thompson front? As I said, he might simply be sunning himself or skiiing - I suppose he's got to spend some of his vast accumulated wealth at some stage! Or has he been gagged on Workplace by the Royal Mail/IDS Board, for fear of disrupting the company's hopes that the dispute can be resolved? We already know he was sidelined from being part of the most recent negotiations with the CWU.

Even before disappearing from Workplace, his posts had become somewhat anodyne - unlikely to cause any offence - just stuff like photos of knitted postbox toppers for the forthcoming Coronation and wishing good luck to charity fundraisers, so you wonder if he had been given a stern talking to by the Board about what he posts on Workplace.

Or has he just "quietly quit"? Or been "let go"?

I doubt the team will hear from him before the ballot.

He has been on conference calls with managers. I should think he has had his wings clipped in regards to Workplace etc. I doubt he will be around much longer.

What is a yes vote going to achieve , A yes vote means they will do whatever they want knowing full well the membership are too cowardly to do anything about ,
A yes vote means a very poor wage rise ,
A yes vote means a reduction in terms and conditions ,
A yes vote means you are under there thumb forever more ,
