Delivery vans are not fit for purpose and at our office they are only repairing MOT failures whilst we have vans with doors that dont open and other problems which are left .
What is the point of a van check if Royal Mail cannot repair them?

Keep signing them out of service, it's not your problem if RM aren't getting them repaired

I thought you were leaving.
Didn't you hand your notice in?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Sign it off, if it wouldn't pass an MOT if you took it, it's not road legal. MOT standard in regards doors : https://www.motester.co.uk/mot-test-of-doors/

I’m on a HCT walk now but the odd time I’ve taken a van and been given one where the rear doors don’t open I put a PMT form in.
10 minutes later is handed out to someone else.

Re: Vans not fit for purpose
I too did my training in a Peugeot and when the vans were delivered we were allocated a Mercedes, which was a little bit different (in selecting drive).
Anyway, first morning I drove about 3ft in 20 mins.
Range will be about 96 miles and when you get back to charge it up, someone will have parked their own car in the charging space, meaning you will have problems charging it up.
Or someone on afternoon collections or LAT's will choose your van, take it out and leave you with 9% charge the next morning.
